The network information system integration project is to build the whole computer networksystem, so that it can satisfy the related network connection and information communication. Inrecent years, it has developed rapidly in the field of ICT services. As an important part of projectmanagement, the success or failure of the progress management of network system integrationproject is one of the key factors to determine the success of the project.
At present, the network information system integration project has achieved fruitful results, butthe progress management has the following problems. The two sides have underestimated the timeof project activities, and invested insufficient time and resources into the important activities suchas the preliminary plan planning and later system test. The sequence of activities is not accurate,which makes it difficult to locate and determine the scope of the fault between modules, delays theproject schedule, or even leads to project partial rework in severe cases. Both parties provide poorcontrol of the progress change, and professional project manager is absent.
This paper studies how to manage the progress of network information system integrationprojects, and designs a progress management plan for a network information system integrationproject. First the organizational structure of project management is designed, then the project'sactivities and their relations are analyzed, the progress plan of the project is arranged to control theprogress during project implementation, and the events that may affect the project schedule aremanaged. Based on the theory of progress management, a progress management plan is summarized,which can also applied to other similar projects. The emphasis of time management in these projectslies in the progress management plan, which can be developed through activity definition, activitysequencing, duration estimation, resource estimation, critical path identification. In the process ofproject implementation, the time change control system method, the execution situationmeasurement method, and crashing is applied to control the progress and correct the possibledeviation. Since such projects usually have specific requirements for the construction site, it isnecessary to strengthen the communication with the constructor, and reserve some activity period.
